From Stigma to Strength: A Champion's Journey

In a small village outside Lira, 8-year-old Aceng used to miss school every month due to severe pain crises. Her family felt helpless until they met the Alliance during a community outreach.

"The Alliance didn't just give my daughter care; they gave her back her childhood. Now she lives without the fear of the next crisis."

— Aceng’s Mother

Aceng is one of over 700 beneficiaries. Your support brings testing and care to the furthest corners of Northern Uganda.

What the Community Says

Real stories of resilience and impact directly from the heart of Northern Uganda.

Message Translation
"Today we were previledged, as St. Thomas Sec. School, to have the Sickle Cell Champions Alliance Uganda team visit us. They provided free screening and counseling. We learned that if you have the sickle cell disease or trait, you should not marry someone who has the same sickle cell status. We are truly grateful for the great work they have done and may God bless them"
